A Tablet and Capsule Metal Detector is a specialized inspection system designed to detect metallic contaminants in pharmaceutical tablets, hard capsules, and other suitable solid oral dosage products during manufacturing. It helps pharmaceutical manufacturers strengthen in-process quality control, reduce the risk of metal contamination, and improve product inspection consistency.
Installed downstream of a tablet press, capsule filling machine, or tablet deduster, the pharmaceutical metal detection system inspects products as they pass through the detection head. Depending on the machine configuration and validated detection performance, it can detect ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, and stainless steel contaminants.

When a contaminated product is detected, the configured rejection mechanism diverts the affected product into a designated reject container, helping minimize the loss of acceptable products.
